Corporate Profile
As a result of the founders' desire to understand the entertainment industry and resulting range of experience, Mr. Honda recognized the limited potential relative to global opportunity and in 2003 founded T.O Entertainment, Inc. The company started with a large library of Intellectual Properties, acting as an agency for creators like authors and cartoonists and was primarily involved in book publishing. Creators would entrust their content with TOE due to the unique relationship and trust established with Mr. Honda and other directors whose reputations were established during employment at Kadokawa. In 2007, TOE pursued its plan to proactively expand its business by becoming involved in production of animation series, live action, and animation films.
TOE’s mission is continue its existing path in becoming one of the world’s leading production houses, creating innovative and creative entertainment content, while simultaneously encompassing an environment where movies, animation, games, and publications sales can be cross pollinated on an international scale. As a pioneer in the Japanese entertainment industry, TOE is globalizing its operations to capture the worldwide "Otaku*" or fan-base market.
